We offer a choice of guest bedrooms at The Old Brewhouse, each individually styled and each with their own character.
All bedrooms at The Old Brewhouse bed and breakfast are en-suite and non-smoking. All have a TV, hair dryer and a complementary tray.
History around every corner at The Old Brewhouse
The old deeds show that in the late 17th century the building was a Brewhouse making beer. When we were trying to come up with a name, The Old Brewhouse seemed appropriate.
You will see wooden beams all over the house (please mind your head!), some are believed to have been recovered from old sailing ships and re-used when building the property.
When we were renovating the property the fireplaces were a very special find as they had been boarded up since around 1850 in the Victorian age.
When were were building the courtyard rooms, a geological and heritage survey had to be carried out and archeologists were retained to assess the possibility of Roman ruins and artefacts. Remains of a Roman road and wall were found.

Linking the main house with the courtyard is our lovely conservatory.
Guests are welcome to relax and gaze over our colourful and well-tended courtyard garden.

Please note: Prices for booking directly with The Old Brewhouse. If you book though a booking agent they may have their own pricing. Prices are subject to change during holidays and special events. Prices include VAT.

Payment and booking
- We accept most major credit/debit cards, including American Express. A small charge may be made for using this service
- We request a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit (equivalent to your first night stay) to confirm a booking.
If you need to cancel the booking, full payment of the balance will be charged unless more than 48 hours notice is given. - If you would like to reserve a particular room please mention this at the time of booking. We will endevour to reserve the room of your choice but this may not always be possible as it is dependant on availability and other reservations.
- Weekend bookings - minimum stay 2 nights.
Check in / Check out
- Check in is between 4pm and 7pm. Earlier/later check-in may be available on request. Please confirm check-in times at the time of booking.
Check-out time is 10:30am on the day of departure.
